HAPPY 2015!

It's a new day, its a new year!  I hope you've all had a splendid holiday season.  I was super busy, but am back with the stitchy bug in tow.  I left you hanging a bit back in Nov. so without further delay, here is my completed wedding sampler:
a bit wrinkly, but you get the gist!
The wedding was beautiful. The weather was warmer than expected & for that we were pleased! We're taking it to the framers tomorrow, as I'm letting the bride choose her framing.

Back to that bug I alluded to earlier.  (drum roll please)   I have a new start!  Patterns were purchased in 2012 and correct size fabric in 2013.  I am please as punch to begin this.  Of course my goal is to have it framed and hanging on my wall Dec 2015.

Yep, a BAP(for me anyway) Christmas Rules by Lizzy Kate
I was able to work on it yesterday and here's where I am so far....

That's it for now, my readers.  I'll update when I can.  Happy stitching everybody!  =) Pam

3 Years

Yes!  After 3 years I'm still a blogger, not a very consistent one, but a blogger nonetheless!  Bells are stitched. Now I have to add the names and date.

That's all I've got for now.  Gonna keep it short & sweet.  Happy Stitching friends!  :D  Pam

I'm still here...

Put my stitching aside for a while, but I've caught the bug again! Yea!  Couple of quick updates, so I can get back to it.

1) My niece moved her wedding date from May 2015 to Nov 2014 here's her gift I'm stitching...
My blogaversary is Wednesday, so maybe I'll have an update on the bells by then.

2)  I'm preparing for my annual Handmade Ornament Swap on Dec 13th and so far I've almost stitched 2 of 7 needed.  Still have to put them together once stitched.  G O T   T O   G E T    B U S Y!!!

Until next time.  Happy Stitching!  Pam :D

First Saturday of the Year

Happy Saturday!  I just had to share what's happened in the last few days.  My husbands family gets together after Christmas.  His Aunt Nina used to stitch years ago, but "just does not have time to anymore".  I know--How S A D! Good news is, while we were visiting, Aunt Nina brought out a bag of fabric that she want to give me...WOW!

Needless to say I was excited!  Here's another photo of it spread out for you see.
Don't know how long shes had it in storage, so I still need to wash and press it all.  I just could not wait to share it with you though!

While I'm here, heres an update of my stitching progress. My full-time  j-o-b, a headache and bowl games have gotten in the way of my progress.

Now its time I leave you and take down my Christmas decorations.  Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Happy Stitching   =) Pam

Welcome 2014

No, I did not fall off the face of the earth!  Just took some time off from stitching, therefore my blog didn't get updated. Sorry folks.  Well its a new year so let's see if we can't get it kicked off right!    It's a New Moon, so I'm including a pic of my ORT jar. Daffycat is hosting her Totally Useless Stitch A long  again this year. Jump over to her blog here for more info.
See there are a few tiny strands in there!

To start off the new year I picked up  a ten year old  UFO by Gloria Pat.  You can see her back in Jan 2012 for the first time.  I've added her hair!

Please don't give up on me. I hope to update her again soon.  Until then, happy stitching   =)  Pam

Gifts Completed!

I have 2--yes 2 Completed Finishes.  Both are gifts and were referenced in my March 24th post.  First off is Dolly Mama.  I had a lot of fun stitching her and then got hung up on my finish. Had planned to give her away for Christmas 2012, but she wound up being a 2013 Birthday Gift.  This is truly a momentous occasion as I'd never put any of my stitches onto a tote bag before and it has been YEARS since I stitched a bag.  Special thank you to my friend Lari for finding a bag tutorial that a novice seemstress like myself could follow.  I'm so pleased with the results!!!  What do you think?

Dolly Tote

My 2nd Completed Gift is the tea towel I showed you back in March.  Two very sweet stitchers (Linda & Karen) whom I have never met but are in the crossstich forum with me came over to my blog and gave me the advise I needed to complete the towel.  Upon their advise I used DMC 3064 for the center of the circles. And here it is all finished.

I should have ironed it first :D
Thank you for taking the time to read my update.  Hope you've enjoyed your time here.  I look forward to reading your comments.  Happy Stitching =)
