Joining WIPocalypse for 2018

Happy 2018.  If you're new to my blog, Welcome.  If you're returning, Welcome back!
My name is Pam, aka @Farmboyslove on Instagram.   I've been stitching off & on since forever.  I still have my first finished piece stitched in Junior High Home Economics Class. Who knows,  I might even fully finish that this year : D.

I am happily married for 27 years now and we have one teenage son.  Oh the joys of teaching him to drive and sending him out into the world "alone' with the car--aak!!!  Our fur baby girl passed over the rainbow bridge in May of 2017.
After 6 months our son brought this little guy home.
Excuse the mess, I was organizing!
I have decided to join a ton of other stitchers in WIPocalypse this year (click here for link).  First of all, b/c I want to focus on getting more stitching this year. Second of all, I'm hoping it will help me update my blog on a more regular basis.  My goal is to finish as many current wips as possible while starting & finishing all of the remaining Gingerbread Village charts by Country Cottage Needleworks. I've completed 2 so far.  Its a big undertaking, so we shall see!

I've missed blogging

I cannot get over how this year has flown.  So much for keeping up with my blog.  I have stitched more this year than ever.  For time sake, I will not go back and update here on everything I've done.  I have documented most everything on Instagram (@farmboyslove ) if you'd like to take a look!

December has been a busy stitchy month. I have a half a dozen ornaments to finish before Christmas.  I also had a new start to kick off the 1st day of winter.

Until next time, Stitch on!

Happy Easter

Luke 24: 1-5a
"On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!"

About time...

Decided it was high time I gave my followers an update.  I have been busy stitching and am now stitching in the current month of my only SAL. Here is my Linen & Threads 2017 Mystery SAL thru March:

And here is my meager start for April:

I've also challenged myself to work on completing some of my projects. I've committed to put 17 stitches a day into  Brew Ha Ha for the month of April. I started this for Maynia last year.   I don't have a before photo, but April 1-3 I added his legs and the blob to the left of his leg:

Here is 6 more days progress:
Last but not least I have a new start to share.  On Feb 26 I started a Love quilt special project. The theme is  "Pink n Girly".  Here is a photo of what mine will look like when finished:

I stitched on it about 5 days in March.  Since April 3rd I've stitched on it daily.  And here is how far I've gotten as of Monday:

It feels good to finaly have an update for you all.  I hope you've enjoyed your time here.  I thank you very much for spending your time looking at my stitching. Id love to have your feedback.  Feel free to leave a comment below.   Have a super rest of the week.  Happy Stitching!  = ) Pam

First Finish 2017!

Yall know I'm slow! But.... Finally... A finish in 2017!    Button Sampler by Carole Rodgers featured in Cross Stitch & Country Crafts Jan/Feb 1994.  This project was started July 2016.  Originally I had wanted to stitch on it once a week, but that simply did not happen!  I didn't even work on it once a month, *gasp!  It really was not a hard chart to follow and I enjoyed working on it, when I took the time to do it.  As you may recall I am giving this away.  My friend Anne was a seamstress & left behind many buttons when she passed away last April.  There's plenty of room for her daughter to add her buttons onto the sampler before having it framed.  I really cant say if I'll ever be able to show you the Fully Finished Object, so here it is--unframed, without buttons:

I'm so happy to share this next project I've deemed my "work project". Some days I arrive 20 - 25 minutes ahead of time due to good traffic etc.  On those days, I try to stitch. I started this little Mill Hill kit last July and just last week brought it to work with me.  Here's where it was the last time you saw it:

and here it is today:

I have a good bit more beading to go before it's done.  You will NOT see this featured on my Instagram Account as it's for a friend who follows me there.

The last project I'd like to share with you today is a 2017 Freebie Sampler designed by Linen & Threads (link here).  They are releasing a new band each month for the entire year.  I didn't find out about the SAL until after it had started and then had to purchase fabric, so I did not start the project until Jan 22. Of course here it is a month later & I'm still on the Jan part--bahahaha.  As of Feb 14th I had completed page 2 & a portion of page 3:

My plan is to have the January band completed by Feb 28th and I will update you here.  Until next time,

Happy Stitching = ) Pam

Welcome

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

It's hard to believe another year has begun!  I'm still nailing down all my stitching goals, but I can say I plan to stitch from Stash this year including some Peacocks.  I'm also going to focus on Free Patterns in February.  Of course in May I'll participate in Maynia again.   I'd love to have you share you stitchy goals with me in the comments!

I'll be back soon with some stitching updates.  Until then....Happy Stitching = ) Pam
