Welcome

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

It's hard to believe another year has begun!  I'm still nailing down all my stitching goals, but I can say I plan to stitch from Stash this year including some Peacocks.  I'm also going to focus on Free Patterns in February.  Of course in May I'll participate in Maynia again.   I'd love to have you share you stitchy goals with me in the comments!

I'll be back soon with some stitching updates.  Until then....Happy Stitching = ) Pam

Success

I am so excited with what I accomplished over my 4 day weekend.  I'm one cup closer to my goal on Whole Lotta Late'.

Granted I may not touch it again until the week before Christmas, because of decorating, party prep etc, but I'm closer!!

It's also beginning to look a little like Christmas at my house.  My son took down all the fall decorations and started decorating outside after school yesterday!

I'll try and update again with some of my inside decorations.  Still hosting my annual homemade ornament swap so there is lots to do to prepare.  Until next time...Happy Stitching!  = ) Pam

I'm such a slacker!

Y'all I have every intention of updating you on my stitching, but only seem to get around to updating Instagram (farmboyslove).  I've worked on several things and have managed a small finish.

I've had some decent progress on Whole Lotta Latte'.
My plan is to put at least an hour a day each weekend on it thru the end of the year.  The goal is to complete the 2 cups I've started this year and then I'll only have 3 more to finish in 2017,

Speaking of 2017.  I have some loose plans with regard to my stitching.  The biggest thing is I've joined the stitch from stash 2017 group.  I am limiting myself to $25/month spending on stitching supplies and stash over an above my Fabric of the Month subscription.  I'm only going to start something new in Jan if I finished what I started that day this year.  In February I'm only going to start  Legitimate Freebie Patterns. As of right now I'm only going to start 3 at the most.   In May again I will only start something new for Maynia if what I started last year is completed by then. It really does mess with my brain when I have too many projects going at one time.  So far that's all I've got for next year. Not much, but its mine : ).
Until next time, Happy Stitching!  = ) Pam

Aug is flying by...

Wow guys I've made it back pretty quickly this time--Yea!  I have not done a lot of stitching this week as I was super tired and all I wanted to do was sleep. It rained everyday, so I'm not sure if it was the weather or what.  Any who, I did want to show you a little bit of progress that I've made on a few projects.

First of all is my Button Sampler.  As I mentioned last week, my dear friend Annie's daughter will attach some of her buttons as a keepsake once the stitching is completed.  I can hardly wait to complete this and gift it to her!  Here's where I've gotten this week:

Next up is my sea turtle.  I"m going to use this as part of a Christmas gift this year.  Thankfully I have some time, but I don't want to wait til the last minute on EVERYTHING : ). I only work on this on during down time & breaks at work.

I'm considering turning Sophia by Summer House Stitch Works into a seat cushion or a pillow.  I'm NOT loving my fabric choice.  For some reason my needle just drags on this particular project? Really weird, I've never had that problem before.  I love how he currently looks more like a bee than an owl!

Last bit of progress to share is my Whole Lotta Latte that I started in January.  I only stitch on this project on Sunday afternoons, when the sun is really bright.  My eyes can usually only stand about an hour on this black fabric. At this rate,  I may finish it in about 10 years--ha!

Just in case yall thought I was sane, I have signed up to stitch the Ursula Michael's design for Ronald McDonald House Family Room in Columbia SC.  Even though the Greenville location is only 20 minutes from my house.  We had family members who stated at the facility in Columbia and I wanted to honor them by stitching the one for that location.  I've got to get myself organized and get started on that one soon.  I believe there are still locations that are available, so if your interested there is a Facebook group you can join.  It's called Ronald McDonald House SAL Group.
Until next time, Happy Stitching =) Pam
