Aug is flying by...

Wow guys I've made it back pretty quickly this time--Yea!  I have not done a lot of stitching this week as I was super tired and all I wanted to do was sleep. It rained everyday, so I'm not sure if it was the weather or what.  Any who, I did want to show you a little bit of progress that I've made on a few projects.

First of all is my Button Sampler.  As I mentioned last week, my dear friend Annie's daughter will attach some of her buttons as a keepsake once the stitching is completed.  I can hardly wait to complete this and gift it to her!  Here's where I've gotten this week:

Next up is my sea turtle.  I"m going to use this as part of a Christmas gift this year.  Thankfully I have some time, but I don't want to wait til the last minute on EVERYTHING : ). I only work on this on during down time & breaks at work.

I'm considering turning Sophia by Summer House Stitch Works into a seat cushion or a pillow.  I'm NOT loving my fabric choice.  For some reason my needle just drags on this particular project? Really weird, I've never had that problem before.  I love how he currently looks more like a bee than an owl!

Last bit of progress to share is my Whole Lotta Latte that I started in January.  I only stitch on this project on Sunday afternoons, when the sun is really bright.  My eyes can usually only stand about an hour on this black fabric. At this rate,  I may finish it in about 10 years--ha!

Just in case yall thought I was sane, I have signed up to stitch the Ursula Michael's design for Ronald McDonald House Family Room in Columbia SC.  Even though the Greenville location is only 20 minutes from my house.  We had family members who stated at the facility in Columbia and I wanted to honor them by stitching the one for that location.  I've got to get myself organized and get started on that one soon.  I believe there are still locations that are available, so if your interested there is a Facebook group you can join.  It's called Ronald McDonald House SAL Group.
Until next time, Happy Stitching =) Pam
